Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client's accounting team located in California. This role is integral to our financial operations and requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including month-end close procedures, data validation, and account reconciliations. You will be leading the intercompany reconciliations every month. These are high volume transaction accounts, so ideally you are very comfortable with big data. This role is 100% remote and pays up to $60/hr. if you have hospital industry experience. Please apply to the role today! It is expected to be a 6-month project with a 9/30 start date. Workday Financial Management proficiency is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting data validation and reconciliation between new and legacy systems

• Participating in month-end close procedures, including the preparation of journal entries

• Performing account reconciliations and maintaining accurate balance sheet accounts

• Assisting with the review of financial reports as needed

• Utilizing advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting

• Ensuring adherence to accounting principles, controls, and best practices

• Collaborating with the team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

• Utilizing Lawson ERP system for data management and financial operations, if applicable

• Continuously improving processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy

• Providing support for ad hoc projects and initiatives within the finance team.

Requirements • The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Accountant.

• Proficiency in performing Month-end Close Activities is required.

• The candidate should have a strong understanding and experience in managing Month-end Journal Entries.

• Experience in Monthly Account Reconciliation is necessary.

• The candidate should have a solid understanding of Monthly Accruals.

• Proficiency in Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required.

• The candidate should be able to handle Monthly Reconciliation tasks effectively.

• Experience in Data Validation is an essential requirement for this role.

• The candidate should have experience working with Lawson accounting software.

• Proficiency in Excel Formulas is required for this role.
