Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Nuclear Medicine Technologists (NMT) to support operations at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System located at 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304. Services to be provided include the full range of Nuclear Medicine department operations. Multiple shift schedules with on-call service are available.

Responsibilities
Must be able to work successfully in all aspects of Nuclear Medicine imaging without the benefit of direct, onsite physician supervision
Responsible for data acquisition, processing, preparation, and transmission of complicated, completed diagnostic images for Nuclear Medicine physician interpretation
Serves adults from 19-65 years and geriatric patients over 65 years of age
Must be able to evaluate and provide care based on the special needs associate with the age of the patient
Responsible for the secretion and creation of an appropriate image data set sufficient to answer the clinical question(s) posed by referring physicians
Performs procedures entailing the production of organ maps of distribution of radioactivity following their administration to the patient
Sets up and calibrates the imaging equipment and instruments on a daily basis, checking their performance and reliability prior to beginning any patient study
Completes appropriate patient prep, data, acquisitions processing, analysis of data and computer transmission to the core facility
Qualifications
Completion of a CHEA- and JCERT-accredited Technologist training program
Certified in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT (N)
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
A minimum of two (2) years of proven clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine Imaging in a Level 1 hospital setting
Must have proven clinical work experience within the past 12 months
Prior VA experience is desirable

Pay Range: $85.00 - $90.00 hourly
All candidates must be able to:
Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
Lift up to 20 lbs
Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
