We are seeking a Head of Commercial/Marketing who is passionate about Growth Hacking and is a Digital first consumer marketer. You have expertise in branding, app engagement, and subscription conversion. You have a passion for SEO, growth hacking, A/B testing, viral loops, network effects, and digital commerce. You will have a successful marketing and commercial track record of growing a business unit or start-up in the digital consumer space.

In your role as Head of Commercial/Marketing at Kohler Ventures you will:

  • The Head of Marketing reports to the Head of Kohler Ventures and manages 3 direct reports (Events, Brand management, and Digital marketing).

  • You will lead marketing strategy and provide the strategic vision for our marketing and brand efforts

  • Manage and guide the marketing plan in close cooperation with the Head of Kohler Ventures

  • Discover trends, stay close to the market and actively leverage these trends for user acquisition and retention

  • Meet user needs - Understand and analyze user needs and translate them into actionable insights

  • Provide data driven leadership - Develop a truly data driven approach to marketing and promote it throughout the team

  • Define marketing measurement and implement those KPIs company wide

  • Own all growth efforts - Become the owner of all growth topics across organization & lobby for marketing interests

  • Track, evaluate, create visibility around, and act on metrics, critical success factors and key outcomes

  • Lead engagement with commercial partners as well as creative and media agencies for marketing activities

Skills/Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience (within last 7 years) leading and scaling high growth ventures or new business builds, in a leadership role (C-suite or VP level) with 10+ employees

  • Experience in MedTech, HealthTech, Healthcare, or Digital Consumer Health highly preferred

  • Have an understanding of the broader regulatory environment

  • Build and worked closely with functional teams in previous start-up experiences to launch and scale products. Ability to drive B2B partnerships and activate DTC

  • Established marketing professional with an outstanding proven track record and reputation within the digital industry

  • Background in performance marketing is desired but a strong generalist grasp on marketing is required

  • Profound understanding of digital marketing on a strategic and tactical level

  • Affinity to software and technology in general & you have experiences with product development processes

  • Strong relationships with best in class agencies, service partners and marketing professionals

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • You are an exceptional story-teller and visionary who effectively engages stakeholders

  • Availability to travel as needed.

  • Availability to collaborate with teams and business partners across multiple time zones.

The approved base salary range for this position is $171,800-$220,900. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is subject to Area Salary Differential (Cost of Living Adjustment) that ranges from 24.5%-30% of base salary for Northern CA. The approved base salary range including ASD for this position is $171,830-$287,170 depending on location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401k.
