Kedplasma Center Supervisor in Palmview, Texas

Position : Center Supervisor

Location : Palmview, TX

Purpose

The Center Supervisor is responsible for supervising general, day to day operations of center staff to ensure an efficient, productive work atmosphere and compliant plasma collections. Operates within the scope of EU Guidance on Good Manufacturing Practice and FDA cGMP 21CFR.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Follows all SOPs, regulatory policies and procedures, employee handbook and responsible for remaining current on SOP changes.

  2. Attend Staff Meetings and other team meetings, as required.

  3. Supervise teammates in a manner that maximizes a high level of customer service and strives to meet all production goals. Ensures all donor questions are answered timely, accurately and professionally.

  4. Ensure donor flow throughout the center with a sense of urgency, minimizing wait time by working carefully and efficiently while reallocating personnel as necessary to achieve balance scorecard goals. Alerts Management of donor flow issues.

  5. Maintains a clean, orderly and efficient work environment and ensures

sufficient operating supplies are available as needed. Responsible for verifying and changing supply lot numbers when a new lot number is introduced into production.

  1. Follows all Health Safety & Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures.

  2. Maintains data integrity and confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.

  3. Performs troubleshooting of equipment within scope of training. Alerts

Management when equipment poses a risk to donor/product safety. May berequired to troubleshoot equipment failures, including proper diagnosis and documentation of events to include removing and/or returning equipment toservice.

  1. Acts as a liaison between employees, donors, and Management and can effectively mitigate risks and problems as they arise or escalate, as needed.

  2. Performs opening and closing duties as assigned.

  3. Supervises personnel in a consistent and clear manner, conducts meetings as necessary, and communicates performance expectations.

  4. Ensures adequate staffing on a daily basis, monitors hours worked and DEH. Monitors attendance and utilization of overtime.

  5. Assists with breaks and lunches to ensure proper area coverage at all times.

  6. Responsible for providing real-time coaching and feedback to area staff to ensure they are performing the duties of the role correctly and in compliance with policies and SOP's.

  7. Provides management with employee performance feedback and input into performance appraisals and coaching.

  8. May assist management with the recruitment and selection of center line staff (Reception, Donor Floor and Processing).

  9. Coordinates with the training department and designees to achieve an

appropriate level of cross training that accommodates flexibility, coverage, and development of employees.

  1. Conducts error investigations and develops recommendations for process improvement.

  2. Other job-related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  1. Must possess high school diploma or equivalent required; some college, associates or bachelor's degree preferred.

  2. Minimum one-year experience in a group leader or supervisor capacity

preferred.

  1. Has work history such as a medical office, retail, blood or plasma collection center preferred. Consistent work history in other industries acceptable as skills will be trained on-the-job; equivalent combination of education and experience.

  2. Strong communication and organizational skills.

  3. Performs in a manner that supports Company Core Values.

Physical and Mental Working Conditions

  1. Frequently performs work while standing or walking.

  2. Comfortable being near human blood. Frequently exposed to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear personal protective equipment.

  3. Must be comfortable performing repetitive duties as outlined in standard

operating procedures. Occasionally required to lift, push and pull up to 25

pounds.

  1. May be required to work flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.

  2. Required to communicate and interact with employees and donors.
