Job Description

A large aerospace company is looking for a secret cleared Staff Electrical Engineer to join their team in Palmdale, CA. This is for the largest program within Lockheed Aeronautics Skunkworks. This program is doing research, development and prototyping one of one, nextgen military aircraft for the Navy and Air Force. This Engineer will be acting as the SME, leading the Engineers through the full electrical harness lifecycle including design, build, and test. Other responsibilities include:

Designing electrical wiring schematics and electrical power systems

Conducting electrical load analysis, power distribution and energy storage sizing

Lead other engineers in designing and developing systems and components

Write requirements, create specs for systems and components

Writing system checkouts

Skills and Requirements

10+ (ideally 15+) years of electrical engineering experience

Experience with air vehicle wire harness design

Ensuring appropriate grounding for harness systems

Determination of connectors, back-shells, wire gauges, required shielding and electro-magnetic interference (EMI) mitigations, as well as impedance matching

Determination of wire types appropriate for air vehicle environments

Active secret clearance or higher

Bachelor's degree or experience in lieu of degree null
