The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Failure Analysis Technician II, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Conducts the analysis and determination of root cause for systems, assemblies and components returned from the field

  • Writes failure analysis reports, collects and manages data and writes technical reports in support of returned product evaluations

  • Works to understand complex functional situations with tasks and breaking them down into smaller subtasks

  • Proactively develops and maintains technical knowledge in specialized area(s), remaining up to date on current trends and best practices

  • Demonstrates working understanding of electronic and electromechanical systems

  • Demonstrates working understanding of a variety of laboratory test equipment

  • Fabricates electronic and electromechanical test fixtures

  • Sets up and executes test protocols with moderate supervision

  • Sets up data equipment to capture test data

  • Works with a moderate degree of supervision

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Vyaire is looking for candidates who have the following required qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a technical field

  • Experience working with electromechanical devices

  • Experience working with medical devices, in the medical device field or healthcare industry

  • 3+ years related work experience required

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience in failure and root cause analysis is a plus

  • Experience working in an FDA regulated environment is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Travel: May include up to [5%][domestic/international]

The salary range in California for a Failure Analysis Technician II is $31.35/$47.02hour. Additional benefits offered include medical, dental, vision, paid leaves, life insurance, 401k, paid time off, paid holidays and potential for tuition reimbursement.
