What you’ll do as a Associate Benefits Analyst

  • Monitor and respond to Benefits email box inquiries. Providing high level customer service to HR leads, management and employees to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution. Partnering with Benefits Analysts and Manager on complex inquiries or escalations as appropriate

  • Assist with Leave of Absence (LOA) day to day administration including but not limited to monitoring and responding to LOA mailbox inquiries, tracking of leaves/return to work

  • Performs auditing activities related to benefits plans including but not limited to employee status changes, enrollments, terminations and vendor files to ensure accuracy in the benefits system, so that coverage is correct, and employees are billed accordingly

  • Assist with benefit billing and reconciliation to include audit monthly vendor bills for accuracy, retrieve and analyze information needed to process benefit invoices, create self-insured invoices, submit invoices to accounting for payment and any needed employee deduction adjustments to payroll for processing

  • Partner with Benefits Analysts and third-party benefits administrators and vendors in supporting the benefits programs including problem resolution, plan eligibility audits, and compliance requirements

  • Ensures employee benefits including health and welfare, retirement plans, leaves of absence, and voluntary benefits, are administered in accordance with plan documents, vendor contracts, and internal policies

  • Support open enrollment and year end activities to include employee communications, open enrollment meetings and webinars, and processing of enrollments through the HRIS/Benefit systems

  • Analyzes eligibility, participation, and utilization for all benefits on a regular basis

  • Participate in the evaluation of all benefit programs, including plan design, vendor relationships, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience, and competitive trends in benefit programs to provide a competitive program of benefit options that attract and retain employees, remain cost-effective and in compliance with statutory requirements

  • Support new hire benefits onboarding activities

What you’ll need

  • To be 18 years of age or older

  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or 1+ years of equivalent experience

  • Knowledge of benefits related regulations, including IRS Code Section 125, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, ACA

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Experience with HRIS and Benefit Administration software
