Job Description Summary

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Technical Application Engineer (TAE) for the Service (GA-Service)) product line within Grid Automation. Responsible for providing competitive proposal, the Service TAE will work closely with the regional sales and service teams and directly with customers to determine requirements, promote the business value proposition of the GA products and services.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Acts as expert consultant to guide customer in planning and development of technical solutions.

• Technical development of proposals, assuring compliance to Customer's specs by working closely with engineering, service team and product managers to ensure competitive proposal submission.

• Acts as technical support to the commercial teams, providing technical expertise during Customer discussion.

• Work directly with customers to influence technical specifications and support sales team to achieve closing key orders.

• Responsible for the Site visit and discussion with customer for scope clarity and offer submission.

• ITO (Enquiry to Order) to OTR (Order to Remittance) meetings for order booking and technical clarification

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS :

• Bachelor's degree in electrical and Electronics Engineering from an accredited college or university

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Power System Protection and Control

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

• Power system automation and communication expertise

• Hands on expertise in Commercial proposals

• Protection relays, panel Scheme and Substation Automation application expertise

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

• Experience working successfully in cross-functional teams.

• Strong background in a customer-interfacing role

• Work efficiently without direct supervision.
