Oklahoma Employment Security Commission Shrimp Hatchery Laborer in Palacios, Texas

Employees will be responsible for feeling shrimp brood stock and post larve shrimp, assist management in cultivating algae and maintaining water quality throughout the facility, cleaning and minor repair and maintenance on equipment, cleaning and sanitizing, harvesting eggs, pl\'s and preparing for shipments to customers and any other duties that may arise in the various\ hatchery process. Employees will report directly to the hatchery manager for all assignments and duties. Drug tests may be done post-hire at no cost to the workers to ensure worker safety and keep in compliance with workers compensation guidelines. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination. Workers must abide by all posted safety and work\ rules. All workers must be physically able to perform all duties described. Drug screen, Lifting requirement 50lbs., Exposure to extreme temperatures, Extensive pushing or pulling, Extensive sitting or walking, Frequent stooping or bending over, Repetitive movements

Housing: 2 Units, Total Occupancy: 6

Meals: Housing is provided free of charge and is equipped with kitchen and cooking facilities.

Transportation: Workers will be provided transportation daily by 1-6 seat pickup that are farmer owned and covered under a vehicle insurance policy. Workers start time and stopping time will vary depending upon the weather but under normal circumstances will begin at 6:00 AM to approximate 3:00 PM. If workers do not live in farmer offered housing, they will be instructed to be at the shop or housing location to be transported to the job sites if they do not have their own transportation. Workers will be transported to and from stores to purchase groceries and other necessities by the same modes of transportation as\ listed above.\ Workers will choose the mode of transportation for inbound and outbound transportation. Workers will be reimbursed for inbound transportation of the most economical mode of transportation upon 50% completion of the contract from the place of origin to the place of employment, and outbound transportation upon completion of the contract, any extensions or upon no cause termination from the place of employment to the place of origin or to a certified H2A employer.
