A Snapshot of Your Day

This position as a CNC Machinist, (3rd shift) works withmachine engineered design products with high dollar parts. We use CNC turningand milling machines that are required to hold tight tolerances. Blueprintreading is a must.

As part of the shop floor team, you'll be responsible forthe machining, fit-up, assembly work, and quality of a wide variety of partsfor compressors and associated components. If you are a hardworking,motivated, detail oriented and willing to learn individual this team is rightfor you!

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Plan, layout and perform allmachine operations on both conventional and N/C machines to construct,alter, repair and finish a variety of parts. Maintain close tolerances.

• Produce parts from past prints,samples, sketches or drawings and check work, using standard and/orspecial gauging devices to assure conformity and to maintain qualitystandards.

• Deburr, file, grind, chip, andfit parts made from cast iron, cast steel, malleable iron, nodular iron,sheet and bar steel. Remove burrs, fins and sharp edges using beltsanders, electric bench grinders, air operator rotary files, and handfiles.

• Set tools and make alladjustments required on tooling, both standard and present, changingpresetting when necessary.

• Operate material handlingequipment, such as, but not restricted to, hand truck, fork or lift truck,crane, hoist, etc. for incidental delivery or receiving or material to orfrom adjoining areas of the shop.

• Diagnose and remedy trouble.Ensure coolant logs are maintained. Keep machines clean and lubricated,following periodic check list for preventive maintenance and aid inmachine repair. Work areas are to be kept neat, clean, safe and orderly.

• It is expected that employeeswill demonstrate their capability and willingness to learn.

What You Bring

• Must have a High School Diplomaor GED is required

• A minimum of 1-3 years machiningexperience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

• Must be willing to work 3rd shiftand be flexible enough to work 1st or 2nd shift on occasion as businessrequires.

• Must demonstrate the ability toread and interpret blueprints.

• Have a general knowledge andunderstanding of machining and CNC programming methods.

• Familiarity with Microsoft OfficeSuite, with basic to intermediate computer skills.

• Displays a demeanor conducive toprogress through positive change, continuous improvement and activecontributor to the teamwork concept.

• Applicants must be legallyauthorized for employment in the United States without need for current orfuture employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employeeswith current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
