Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Document Control Design Specialist opportunity in Paducah, KY for the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PGDP) Deactivation and Remediation (D&R) project.Work Location: Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant - Paducah, KY. Hybrid schedule is available.Citizenship: United States Citizenship RequiredQualifications:BA/BS degree in a related field and 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.Strong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong PC skills including Microsoft Office software, Microsoft SharePoint platform, and Adobe Acrobat Pro; database management experience preferredDetail orientedAbility to handle multiple tasks in a proficient mannerAbility to function in a fast-pasted environmentDOE “L” clearance or ability to obtain a DOE “L” clearancePosition OverviewUnder direct supervision, performs Document Control job functions as assigned by management. Typical job responsibilities are to assist and support management in ensuring that all documents are properly controlled and maintained. Document Control operates in a manner that is fully compliant with Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership procedures and all contractual, statutory, and regulatory requirements. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities that assist and support management in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:Provide technical and/or functional support to the Document Control teamManage Controlled Document databaseResponsible for electronic process for organizing, collecting, indexing, and storage of project documentsDesign, develop, test, implement and maintain an automated performance document development process that integrates with the Document Control programRecommend modifications to existing procedures, systems, and methods of operationImplement Software Quality Assurance (SQA) and Electronic Information Systems (EIS) requirements for the document management systems and ensure SQA and EIS documentation is evaluated and revised as neededAssigned job duties may support Document Control functional areas such as tracking, data entry, document distribution, coordination with other work groups, document location, and reportingAnalyze, evaluate, and implement procedures to achieve information management objectivesInterface with document authors/ownersMay assist with trainingPerforms duties moderately complex to complex in natureOther job-related duties as assignedMaintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe mannerActively participates in Safety Work GroupsWorking Conditions:Work in an office in a normal environmental restoration atmosphere (outdated and/or abandoned facilities or industrial field environments). May also work at off-project sites representing the organization at various types of locations throughout the community for business purposes.
