Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Director of Accounting in Oxnard, California. In this role, you will be leading the financial strategies in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Your job function will be to shape our financial strategies, drive financial innovation, and ensure the highest standards of safety in our projects.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with senior leadership to implement your vision and make a tangible impact on our business.
• Support the CFO with essential monthly reporting requirements and in-depth financial analysis.
• Guide all financial planning activities, providing critical insight to assist management in informed decision making.
• Oversee the Financial Accounting and Cost Accounting teams, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and fostering a culture of excellence.
• Prepare forward pricing rates, support audit requests, and contribute to the organization's 5-year strategic plan.
• Conduct variance analyses, review overhead rate performance, and proactively seek methods to minimize financial risk.
• Interpret complex financial information and conduct special studies to make recommendations that drive profitability improvements and enhance working capital strategies.
• Develop the accounting team and ensure compliance with SOX and audit requirements while supporting continuous improvement efforts across the organization.
• Apply proficiency in Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Budget Processes, Oracle, Consolidated Financial Statements, and General Ledger.
• Utilize strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including advanced features like pivot tables and macros.
• Familiarize with ERP systems, including Oracle. Requirements • Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of accounting.
• Proficiency in managing all Accounting Functions is required.
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.
• The candidate should have a strong background in Auditing.
• Familiarity with Budget Processes is essential for the role.
• Proficiency in using Oracle for accounting purposes is expected.
• Experience in preparing and analyzing Consolidated Financial Statements is required.
• The candidate should be adept at managing a General Ledger.
