Granville Health System Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Oxford, North Carolina
Position Summary: Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials to assist in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. The technologist will work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the accurate imaging and safety of patients. Key responsibilities include: preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients for imaging purposes, operating imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images, following safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self,#reviewing patient history and providing clear explanations of procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding, monitoring patients during procedures and responding to adverse reactions or complications, analyzing#imaging results for quality assurance, maintaining accurate records of patient data, procedures performed, and radiopharmaceuticals used, calibrate and maintain imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality, adhere to regulatory guidelines, including those from the NRC, FDA, and NCDHHS. Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology; current licensure as ARRT(N) or#CNMT;#BLS certification; prior experience in Nuclear Medicine or a Radiology setting#is preferred, but not mandatory for entry-level candidates;#pursues programs of continuing education consistent with the requirements of ARRT or#CNMT and Granville Medical Center.
