Revlon Analyst, Cost Accounting in Oxford, North Carolina

Description

The Analyst, Cost Accounting is responsible for key product costing activities, ensuring accurate product cost reporting, and performing standard cost activities for SAP and JDE products. This role will also support the team on the Annual Budget process for materials costing analysis and ensure that internal controls and proper documentation processes are upheld.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creation of standard costs in SAP and JDE.

  • Prepare accounting views for new material set up ensuring all material types and required information is assigned and confirmed.

  • Maintain the integrity of existing standards by continually reviewing and validating their completeness and accuracy and updating standards as needed.

  • Support the annual standard setting process, delivering accurate and timely standards with a clear understanding of variances. Ensure standards are aligned with budget guidelines and marketing objectives.

  • Perform actual cost validation checks for cost estimates for New Product Developments (NPD) at key stage gates for purchased and manufactured products.

  • Support ad-hoc costing analysis for various marketing and business needs.

  • Maintain Internal controls and ensure proper documentation.

  • Develop and maintain strong internal relationships among Global Finance and Supply Chain personnel.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing audit schedules and documentation including all evidence related to the standard costing process and reporting.

  • Assist with or manage ad hoc financial analyses and presentation materials as requested

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Understanding of product costing in a manufacturing environment

  • SAP and JDE experience strongly preferred

  • Previous experience with developing standard costs or new product development and/or project management a plus

  • Strong knowledge of Excel

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good working knowledge of internal controls/SOX

  • 1-3 years of related experience
