This position is for a Commercial MDU Account Executive with a company in Oxford, MS.
Summary: The Account Manager -- MDU will be responsible for driving the Revenue Generating Units (RGUs) through the Preferred Partner Program. This will include establishing and maintaining relationships with MDU Owners, Operators and Managers and various trade associations active in the multi-family housing space. The Account Manager --MDU primary focus is to CLOSE incoming residential sales leads generated through the exclusive Preferred Partner Program in accordance with specific annual budget and goals. The Account Manager will also proactively address any issues with Preferred Partners as they may arise. The Account Manager -- MDU will be also be further responsible for securing Small Property Residential MaxxSouth Agreements for very small MDU properties (50 units and less) in the region. The Account Manager -- MDU reports to the Manager, Business Development -- MDU.
Duties and Responsibilities: Performing sales activities through MDU channels to achieve or exceed assigned RGU and revenue objectives. Accurately entering sales work orders directly into the billing system. Collaborating with the MDU management team to execute programs that maximize the conversion of Preferred Partner leads. Participating in tradeshows, sponsorships, lobby events, and other industry events; Establishing and maintaining effective ongoing relationships with key MDU Owners, Operators and Managers and other Agents to train on the sales programs (how to sell our services); Actively participating in small property contract negotiations to secure executed small property agreements (SPRBA) from assigned properties; Distributing Preferred Partner and other marketing collateral to assigned MDU Complexes. Providing reports such as "First Meeting Report" and others as assigned; Following and enforcing the Company's policies and procedures, including the EEO guidelines and safety, at all times; Performing any miscellaneous duties as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. 4 years relevant experience or training in marketing, communications, or sales required. Customer focused with a proven track record of success in achieving/exceeding sales growth and profitability goals required. General knowledge of residential Cable TV, Internet, and Phone services required. Proficiency in using personal computers and software applications, i.e. Microsoft Word; Excel; CHR required. Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or communications preferred.
Other Requirements: Background record that meets Company standards. Reliable means of transportation at all time.; Present professional appearance and demeanor. Strictly maintains confidentiality of financial and/or other information acquired in the course of work; discloses only when authorized, unless legally obligated to do so. Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company standards at all times.
Physical Demands: Walking, kneeling, standing, stooping, sitting, driving, hearing, talking, vision (close, distant, color, depth perception, adjust focus), and use of hands and fingers. Light lifting of 30 lbs. is occasionally needed.
Working Conditions: The Account Manager is a full time commissioned exempt position. The regular work hours are 8:00am-5:00pm Monday -- Friday. These hours may vary to accommodate the needs of the department. The Account Manager reports to Vice President Government & Legal Affairs. The Account Manager works in an automated business office environment with business office equipment including telephones, personal computers, copy machines, typewriters and FAX equipment. The Account Manager is required to drive on the job as needed and is subject to regular MVR checks. He/she must maintain a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record the meets Company standards for an insurable driver at all times. Any time these conditions are not et, he/she must not drive on the job and must immediately report it to their supervisor. (used if driving is a requirement). The Company is a drug-free workplace.
