ENTRUST Solutions Group Design Technician I - Environmental and Permitting in Owings Mills, Maryland
Description
*HYBRID POSITION 2-3 days in office based on location*
Department: Diverse; PCAT – Permit Compliance and Accountability Tracker
Role Overview: The Environmental and Permitting Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and permits. This position involves entering projects into the system, understanding environmental issues, constraints, and permits, and working on a variety of environmental and permitting projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct plan reviews.
Perform record research.
Draft and process various environmental and development-related plans and permits, including but not limited to erosion and sediment control plans, grading plans, site plans, stormwater management, construction phasing plans, utility plans, and road plans.
Assist with compiling various technical reports and maintaining environmental permit compliance, including applying for permit modifications and renewals.
Report to managers regarding various drafting, planning, and permitting work.
Perform NPDES/Sediment Control inspections and construction monitoring as needed.
Communicate with regulatory agencies at the discretion of managers.
Role Requirements:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Ability to read and interpret PDFs.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with a few hundred entries per week.
Experience with diverse projects in the environmental field.
Ability to read instruction plans and design prints initially.
Additional Skills and Attributes of the Ideal Candidate:
- Experience with Bluebeam and Adobe (preferred).
