What s a typical day as a Sanitation Operator / Maintenance Worker?: Perform daily cleaning, maintenance and sanitation on the production floor, corridors, & hand washing stations. Cleaning of doors, floors, walls, windows, ceilings, horizontal surfaces, overheads using cleaning chemicals and anything else listed in Master Sanitation Schedule. Drain cleaning throughout the plant & routine cleaning of filter socks. Tote and cardboard baler operation. Operation of trash compactor and floor scrubbing machine. Stock and refill supplies. Cleaning employee break room, and locker room areas as identified on the Master Sanitation Schedule.. Normal powdered food plant environment. Exposure to dust, noise, hot and humid conditions, and cleaning chemicals. Reach, climb, stoop, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds. See, hear, walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time. Pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, and reaching above shoulder level.
