Location: Plant 84 is located in Owatonna, MN. Position Overview: The Plant Accountant is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions including month-end processes, preparing financial reports, reconciliations, payroll, sales commissions, and accounts payable. Duties And Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Plant Accountant responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following: Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries to accounts documenting business transactions Prepares GL Account and Bank Reconciliation Prepares financial statements and other reports to summarize the company's financial position including but not limited to; Month end reporting 8th day reporting Gainshare analysis Site Communication meeting information Maintains Accounting Policy database Identifies control gaps, develops and implements appropriate control procedures to resolve control deficiencies Assists in preparation for internal and external audits Develop financial analysis and cost accounting skills Responsible for execution and coordination of physical inventory Performance Management for any direct reports Oversees payroll and AP functions Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned Job Requirements Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree Solid understanding of accounting concepts and GAAP Proven track record of working in a team environment with a variety of departments Experience working with an ERP system Three (3) years Plant Manufacturing experience Preferred Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance Packaging industry experience IBMi AS400 experience Travel 0 - 10% Crown is an equal opportunity employer.
