Optiv SVP, Revenue Transformation | Remote, USA in Overland Park, Kansas

This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere within the continental U.S.

The SVP, Revenue Transformation will provide thought leadership and oversee and drive strategic revenue initiatives as part of the extended Executive Sales Leadership Team at Optiv. This role reports directly to the Global Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and will be responsible for advancing organization-wide priorities and business initiatives while ensuring corporate alignment and cross-functional integration. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing a team of employees, including overseeing Optiv’s Sales Enablement team, Sales Strategy leaders, as well as building out a Center of Excellence focused on Revenue transformation and strategic planning.

How you'll make an impact

The SVP, Revenue Transformation will partner with the CRO to build and drive short and long-term organizational goals, contributing to the success of the revenue organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Planning : Collaborating closely with the CRO to develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with the organization's mission and goals. This involves driving the sales rhythm of business; capturing, disseminating, and tracking action items and follow ups from strategy discussions, business reviews, staff meetings, and operations meetings.This also will include building out a center of excellence and team focused on building out the strategic planning capabilities.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination : Lead coordination of strategic initiatives to help drive consistency of processes and programs. Foster solid relationships and collaborate with various departments, including sales, customer success, marketing, operations, finance, enablement, and human resources to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Partner with project management office to align on timelines, change management, and communication plans.

  • Communication Management : Work with cross functional teams and communication leads to manage the internal communications cadence and help develop the brand and voice of the CRO. Responsible for disseminating operational internal communications on behalf of the executive leader as necessary, and ensuring consistency of messaging and alignment with organizational objectives and cross-functional teams.

  • Problem Solving and Business Efficiencies : Act as a trusted advisor and internal thought leader to the revenue leadership team, sharing insights and recommendations using data-driven decision-making. Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and process improvements; work with cross-functional teams to implement changes that optimize business and sales processes.

  • Change Management : Lead organizational change initiatives, including restructuring, process improvements, or cultural transformations, and help to mitigate any associated challenges. Work with sales enablement and human resources to build out change plans and trainings as appropriate. Partner with revenue compensation team to ensure alignment between compensation and strategic priorities.

  • Performance Monitoring : Track key performance indicators and metrics on strategic initiatives to assess organizational performance and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement necessary changes.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred) in Business Administration or a related field

  • 15+ years of experience in a senior role driving sales cross-functional initiatives, strategy, and planning or program management across a diverse group of executives and collaborators

  • Experience managing a team and effectively building out a high-functioning Strategy & Planning function with minimal direction

  • Proven track record of successfully driving strategic initiatives and achieving business outcomes

  • Comfortable with all aspects of the revenue generation process, through prospecting to close and renewals

  • Effectively lead in areas of Annual Planning, territory design and management, forecasting, change management, and strategy and revenue implementation

  • An ability to lead, resolve conflict and drive consensus cross-functionally, engaging resources and help from different departments (engineering, product, marketing) whenever needed

  • Substantial experience in using data to evaluate the impact of strategic initiatives and business decisions

  • Experience designing scalable solutions, untangling complex processes, and providing succinct, data-driven recommendations to leaders

  • Highly skilled in creating and analyzing different scenarios to anticipate potential outcomes and develop contingency plans

  • Be proactive and have a comfort level working in an often-ambiguous environment, anticipating needs, and staying out ahead of them

  • Collaborate, plan, and organize with and through people to gather information from across the organization to make business recommendations

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to formulate clear and concise executive messages to internal audiences on a wide array of complex topics

  • Skilled with Microsoft programs such as Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Experience in the Cybersecurity industry is a plus

  • Ability to travel up to 15%

  • Other duties as assigned
