Responsibilities

We are actively hiring for an Registered Nurse Pre-Assessment Testing.

  • Responsible for reviewing, assessing, and determining appropriateness of chart in accordance with ASC criteria.

  • Ability to correlate clinical data with patient’s medical and nursing care.

  • Ability to set priorities.

  • Possess attention to detail with the ability to problem solve patient issues when they arise.

  • Ability to communicate well and clearly with patients, families, members of the healthcare team, physicians, physician offices and nurse managers.

  • Recognizes legal and policy limits of individual practice.

  • Works closely with the physicians, physician offices, Nurse Managers, and patients ensuring the patient is prepared for procedure

  • Responsible for the achievement of patient outcomes through implementation of critical pathways and in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the facility.

  • Responsible for scheduling procedures as requested by the physician or the physician’s office staff.

  • Responsible for contacting all pain management procedural patients to confirm upcoming appointments

  • Responsible for communicating to the Pain management facilitator, and other appropriate employees, for same day and next day add-on cases.

  • Responsible for tracking cancellations.

  • Ability to contribute in a cross-functional collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.

  • One year of pre-op, PACU , and/or medical / surgical nursing experience preferred.

  • Current state licensure to practice within good standings.

  • Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.

  • Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.

  • Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope services within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.

  • Specialty certification in Perioperative or perianesthesia Nursing is preferred.
