Carmeuse Americas Data & Analytics (Power BI) in Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium

As the Data & Analytics team member , you will drive the development of global consolidation and corporate performance management processes using Azure, MS-SQL, Tagetik, MDM, and Power BI Fabric technologies.

You also will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, bridging requirements to data modeling.

You will engage with Data Warehouse team throughout specifications, development, validation, and post-development support phases; design and create new datasets and reports in Power BI Online and Excel.

You will finally provide coaching and training to business users across various domains (Sales, Finance, HR, etc.) on Power BI Desktop and internal applications, and support end users in adopting new systems and consolidation workflows.

Responsibilities & Duties

As the Data & Analytics employee, your responsibilities will turn across different points:

Projects:

  • You act as primary Power BI stakeholder for system development and enhancements

  • And collaborate with BI Manager and Business Owner(s) on corporate reporting functionalities

  • You also conduct technical and integration tests for new applications and programs.

System and Interfaces Support:

  • You have to manage Power BI Online and MDM for all users (installation, configuration)

  • Install and validate system updates

  • And also, document and update system procedures.

Application Support:

  • You enhance and maintain existing reports and processes

  • And analyze and implement new functionalities or reports.

Users Support:

  • You offer guidance, support, and coaching to users

  • Develop training documentation and conduct user training

  • And finally assist business owners in validating data and reports.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

  • 3+ years of MS-SQL and Power BI (or Equivalent Reporting) experience

  • Strong grasp of MS-SQL database management (Management Studio, Visual Studio)

  • Demonstrated experience in hands-on training for application/report users

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Data Warehouses environments

  • Familiarity with SAP (ECC, HCM, and BW)

  • Proficiency in understanding programming languages: SQL, DAX, and Python

  • Fluent in English

  • Limited International travel required

  • You are a person well organized, reliable, who likes to support the business and building the bridges.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with TimeXtender or equivalent data integration applications

  • Knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric

  • Knowledge of Standard API Integration workflows

  • Experience supporting or implementing a Master Data Management system, including data governance, business glossary, and metadata management tools.

The Data & Analytics Team:

The Data & Analytics team has the mission to empower our organization through data driven insights and analytics. In order to do this the team is in the process of building a robust and scalable modern data platform. Besides the current role, the team is composed of BI analysts, data engineers, system architects and business analysts for data governance. Geographically the team is based in the US and Belgium, its responsibilities extend to all parts of the Carmeuse Group globally. Working within our team you will be responsible to further develop and manage our corporate performance management tool used for financial consolidation, budgeting and planning.
