Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing and the Marketing & Communications Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external clients

  • Have a complete understanding and knowledge of hotel’s services and facilities

  • Work with the Marketing & Communications Manager to execute strategic public relations aligned with regional campaigns and engage followers/fans on all social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn

  • Support Manager to actively monitor all channels and engage with followers in a timely manner

  • Research and recommend influencers, influencer marketing trends and brand collaboration ideas

  • Create social media content schedule/plans for all stakeholders (Destination, F&B, Rooms)

  • Ensure the tone is consistent throughout all posts, engagement and responses, embodying Fairmont brand standards

  • Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager to create and promote events: assist with logistics, collateral and support of press events, manage RSVPs list and event check-ins, assist with event communications to internal departments and research new event trends and partners

  • Create designs including invites, marketing tools, menus, etc

  • Assist in supporting Sales Manager for tour & business travel leads, and building blocks in Opera

  • Conduct client or influencer site inspections of the property as requested

  • Coordinate with other departments within the hotel to ensure distribution of important information

  • Provide administrative duties as required by Director of Sales & Marketing and Marketing & Communications Manager

  • Maintain an orderly work environment

  • Occasional evening or weekend office coverage may be required

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Hotel Management degree/diploma preferred

  • Previous Sales or Marketing, Social Media Experience preferred

  • Bilingual preferred

  • Must be fluent in English (written and oral)

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role

  • Eligible to work in Canada
