Your role:

As Manager, Community Experiences and Partnerships for the Ottawa-Gatineau and Ontario regions, you will be responsible for multiple aspects of our mission in accordance with our corporate objectives and priorities. The following is an overview of your key responsibilities:

  1. Alignment with mission, vision and values:
  • Ensure that community and partnership events align with the mission, vision and values of the Community Experiences and Partnerships team.

  1. Strategic planning:
  • Define the strategy, conduct annual planning for community and partnership events, and develop associated activation plans.

  • Develop partnership and community events as well as brand activations and related content, internally and externally.

  • Lead internal and external communications activities in regional centres.

  • Track and monitor the goals set for each activity and partnership.

  1. Metrics (KPI) and impact analysis:
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of community and partnership events, and conduct in-depth analysis to optimize results.
  1. Representation and negotiation:
  • Actively represent the Corporation during community and partnership events, and negotiate strategic agreements with various partners.
  1. Human, financial and production resource management:
  • Effectively supervise the teams involved in community and partnership events, and manage the allocated financial resources.

  • Update the price list, following up as needed with the relevant departments.

  • Develop and negotiate agreements with suppliers and participating contributors.

  • Oversee the management of production and event spaces under your responsibility. Liaise with the production team to ensure an optimal technical setup.

  1. Event supervision:
  • Oversee the development and operationalization of community and partnership events, as well as brand outreach activities.

  • Act as a primary point of contact in your area of expertise for internal and external resources.

  • Plan and deliver training to brand ambassadors.

  • Execute activities and oversee the work of brand ambassadors.

  • Discuss issues with project participants, recommend workarounds and report on project progress.

  1. Interdepartmental relationships:
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with other Corporation departments.

  • Develop standards and advise on their application with representatives from other departments working on partnerships and activities involving the general public.

  • Follow up with producers and programming teams regarding their needs for ambassador services.

  • Act as a liaison with corporate departments and external partners.

  • Work with other Marketing & Communications teams on media and visibility plans.

  1. Corporate positioning:
  • Strengthen the Corporation’s positioning as a supporter of Canadian culture, democracy and community life through community and partnership experiences.

You will be required to travel to the regions served. This is a hybrid role.

What you bring:

  • University degree in a marketing/communications-related field

  • Six (6) to eight (8) years’ relevant experience

  • Proven track record in developing and executing marketing/communications strategic plans

  • In-depth knowledge of media and public relations, partnership negotiations and experiential marketing, as well as experience organizing community events

  • Ability to analyze a variety of specialized studies and data, especially sociodemographic data

  • Solid experience in team management, including developing team potential and employees’ personal potential, motivating and guiding teams toward their objectives and leading them to success

  • Innovative, creative ability to launch, direct and engage

  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners

  • Good persuasive communication skills

  • Good writing skills

  • Solid grasp of the public broadcaster’s role and function

  • In-depth knowledge of the regions served (demographics, politics, arts and entertainment, etc.)

  • Good knowledge of Google Workspace

  • Bilingualism (English and French, spoken and written)
