What you’ll get to do:
Provide interior design services to update as-builts in AutoCAD
Actively seek client requirements to determine factors affecting planning interior environments, such as budget, architectural preferences, equipment to be installed, purpose and function, and other factors which affect planning interior environments
Advise clients on interior design factors, such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, colour schemes, and colour coordination
Estimate material requirements and costs, and present design to clients for approval
Select or design, and provide specifications for the purchase of furnishings, art works, and accessories
Interact with project personnel from other contracted organizations and/or departments on specific projects
Ensure that the fit-up plans produced by others match the user requirements
What you’ll need to be successful:
3+ years of experience supporting Interior Design projects
Experience working in the Federal Government projects is preferred
A university or college degree/diploma in Interior Design
Experience with AutoCAD, MS Project, word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and presentation skills
PMP designation or other industry recognized credentials are considered assets
Must hold or be eligible for Federal Government security clearance
