As a temporary employee, temporary employees pay state, federal and local (if applicable) taxes, Medicare tax, and contribute to the Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association (PERA). They also receive Workers' Compensation coverage. A temporary employee does not receive health/dental/life insurance benefits and does not receive annual/holiday pay.

TheMarijuana Enforcement Division (MED)is a dynamic and innovative regulatory agency tasked with licensing and regulating the commercial Medical and Retail Marijuana industries in Colorado. First formed in 2010 as the Medical Marijuana Enforcement Division, the MED has developed a leading-edge approach to commercial marijuana regulation and is considered a global regulatory and industry leader. JOB DUTIES:
The Colorado Department of Revenue Marijuana Enforcement Division is looking to hire individuals to work as Minor Operatives. Minor Operatives are individuals who are hired through the State andmust be between the ages of 18 years old & 20 years oldand are tasked with attempting to purchase marijuana products from licensed establishments.
These checks are called underage compliance checks and aim to prevent underage sales of marijuana to those under the age of 21 years.
You will work directly with Marijuana Enforcement Division Investigators in an undercover capacity and may be required to be available to testify in criminal court and administrative hearings.
We are looking for individuals that can be flexible with their work schedule. Marijuana Enforcement Division Investigators will schedule underage compliance checks a couple of times a month throughout the state of Colorado -
Transportation from an MED office to licensed marijuana establishments will be provided
MED is able to work around class schedules, and other employment.
All interested parties must complete a State Application andmust be between the ages of 18 and 20 years old to be considered.
There are no set working schedules or guaranteed hours.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Must be between the ages of 18 and 20 years old
Must possess and maintain a valid State issued Identification Card (ID) or Driver License and be willing and able to work evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work independently and accept supervision
Conditions of Employment with the CDOR :
Employees are in a position of public trust in the performance of their job duties and must operate in a manner that maintains the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and public confidence.
As a condition of employment with the CDOR, all personnel must file all necessary Colorado Individual Income Tax (CIIT) returns and pay tax obligations, therefore all employees must undergo a pre-employment evaluation of their tax records/accounts to ensure compliance with this policy. Final candidates must also complete a successful background investigation and reference check prior to appointment. Certain positions based on duties may require scheduled background investigations .

Those locations are indicated below.
