As a CO+I Edge Regional Inventory & Asset (I&A) Program Manager , you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Bing search platforms.

DCS Edge Site Operations is the organization responsible for deploying and maintaining hundreds of collocated facilities globally that provide low latency and reliable connectivity for Microsoft Cloud Services to our customers. The Edge Regional Inventory & Asset Program Manager (RIAPM) will be responsible for a regional team of Inventory and Asset Technicians and will be a point of contact for all site operations logistics and escalations supporting Edge datacenter sites in the Region.

As the Regional Inventory & Asset (I&A) Program Manager you will be working to standardize oversight of inventory, spares, asset management, logistics technologies, supply chain, shipping/receiving activities, and related processes/procedures in edge sites, (factoring other inputs such as safety and security). You will be driving quality and consistency in alignment with other regions and global programs to support many datacenters across your geographical region. You will help develop and deliver measures to enable team success in achieving all established KPI’s and SLA’s for the datacenters within your Region. As a liaison between Edge Site Operations Inventory and Asset Management and global partners, you will collaborate, and leverage outputs to influence global decisions through positive engagement with partner groups.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Empower a culture of safety, security and compliance in all aspects of datacenter operations

  • Leading a team of remote Datacenter Inventory &Asset technicians responsible for material movement, shipping & receiving, inventory management, stocking, and cycle count

  • Leadership, management, coaching, and development of Microsoft employees across datacenters in your region

  • Responsible for people management including performance reviews, career coaching, and career growth discussions

  • Performing tactical management tasks such as prioritizing ticketing queues, working to resolve escalations, and clearing blocking issues to enable continued delivery of I&A activities

  • Manage resource scheduling to ensure meeting SLAs and project deliveries

  • Collaborate with global and regional management teams and contribute to improvement programs

  • Learn, live, and coach the One Microsoft culture and values. Lead through change by bringing clarity, generating energy, and delivering success

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Leadership and management experience in a production, mission-critical, 24x7 operations environment

  • Experience leading, directly managing, and influencing a diverse organization of full-time employees, across multiple disciplines and platforms

  • Warehouse, supply chain, inventory control, capacity management and/or logistics experience

  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal awareness, and communication skills

  • Willingness and flexibility to work non-core business hours, or other scenarios required by rhythm of the business

  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, data analysis and attention to detail

  • Experience working with operational ticketing system

  • Capability and maintained provisions (Passport, status, etc.) for international travel

  • Fluency in the English language (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:

  • College degree,certification(s)or equivalent work experience

  • Basic working knowledge of physical IT infrastructure (e.g. Servers, SANs, Networking, etc.)

  • Experience working across teams, collaborating and motivating a diverse workforce as a member of a larger regional/global team

  • Experience managing projects and/or programs

  • Able to operate in a fast paced, high availability production environment

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic and high-pressure environment

  • Strong background in process and procedure development/execution and the ability to guide and coach others in the application/adoption of such processes and procedures

  • Experience in budget management and good business acumen

  • Relevant certifications, e.g.: PMP, CAPM, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, BICI and/or ITIL v4 Foundation certifications

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
