Expected salary range:

  • Entry Level - $73,000

  • Mid-level: $ 84,000 - $ 104,00

  • Senior Level: $109,000- $142,000

Ranges are per year based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401K.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.

Responsible for performing engineering, project management, and technical tasks, under direct supervision, in support of nuclear plant operations. Specific areas of responsibilities are in Steam Generator scoping for outages, testing and inspection results disposition per applicable codes and standards, Long Term Asset Management planning, and industry representation. The use of procedures, drawings, schematics, and general engineering practices is required to perform this role.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs. (15%)

  • Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems. (15%)

  • Provide complete task management of engineering issues. (25%)

  • Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision applying engineering principles. (5%)

  • Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications. (25%)

  • Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs. (10%)

  • Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations. (5%)

  • Participate in industry interactions, ASME, SGMP, etc., to benchmark best practices and keep pulse on industry direction. (5%)

JOB SCOPE

  • Programs Engineering: Monitor, enhance, and implement technical programs. Identify, schedule, and oversee code and regulatory inspections per technical program requirements. Support field execution of programmatic inspections. Prepare required analysis and program documents to support inspection scopes.

  • The Fleet Steam Generator Engineering position is the program owner for Steam Generators in the fleet, with a specific focus on one particular site. This engineer is responsible for the overall effective implementation and adequacy of steam genertor inspections to ensure equipment reliability exists for continued operations of our nuclear power plants. This position also performs ASME code compliant documentation, guaranteeing code requirements are met at all times.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Assoc Engineering Analyst/E01

  • 4-year technical degree (non-engineer)* OR

  • 2-year technical degree* and minimum 1 years of nuclear or related industry experience* OR

  • High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years nuclear experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Engineering Analyst/E02

  • 4-year technical degree (non-engineer)* and a minimum 2 years of nuclear or related industry experience* OR

  • 2-year technical degree* and a minimum 3 years of nuclear or related industry experience* OR

  • High School Diploma and a minimum of 5 years applicable nuclear or related industry experience**, working knowledge of engineering processes and systems required for the specific function area

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Engineering Analyst/E03

  • 4-year technical degree (non-engineering)* and a minimum 5 years of nuclear or related industry experience* OR

  • 2-year technical degree* and a minimum 7 years of nuclear or related industry experience* OR

  • High School Diploma and a minimum 8 years nuclear experience (5 of the 8 years must be at the exempt level**)

  • Advanced technical degree or related coursework

  • Commercial or Navy Nuclear Power Plant Experience

  • Previous demonstrated experience with dynamic restraints

  • Professional Engineer Registration
