Job Title: Estimator

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Estimator to process quote requests from current and potential customers and return them promptly. The ideal candidate will analyze customer prints, work instructions, and other provided information to ensure the project aligns with our capabilities and meets the customer's quality requirements. This role involves ensuring quotes include all aspects of the project and production processes, providing project analysis, and offering troubleshooting and process improvement ideas for continuous departmental growth.

Responsibilities

• Process quote requests from current and potential customers and ensure timely returns.

• Analyze customer prints, work instructions, and other provided information to verify project suitability for our capabilities and tooling.

• Ensure all aspects of the project and production processes are included in returned quotes to meet customer expectations.

• Provide analysis of projects to ensure business fit and proactively plan for more complex production needs.

• Offer troubleshooting and process improvement ideas to support continuous departmental growth.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in metal fabrication operations and equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, product drawings, and specifications.

• Experience with Microsoft Excel.

• Knowledge of weldment processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Solid Works and FTP sites is preferred.

• Ability to prioritize work, multi-task, and demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

Estimators will work in a team of three within a dynamic office environment. The office environment is lively, with side conversations and music, requiring the ability to focus amidst distractions. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. During summer, most employees work nine hours Monday to Thursday and finish early on Fridays. The company offers a flexible, family-oriented atmosphere with a perfect attendance bonus that provides an additional 5 hours of PTO each month for perfect attendance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
