Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintenance of the organizations facilities. Assess, develop, implement, revise and monitor the purchase, construction, remodeling and maintenance of Agency property, including facilities and vehicles.

  • Negotiate and manage contracts for purchase, constructions, renovations, and improvements.

  • Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize efficiency.

  • Supervise maintenance & transportation staff and provide leadership to the team

  • Manage the maintenance of vehicles.

  • Ensure timely completion of internal and external reporting requirements, integrity of financial and budget activities, and compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly subsidized rental agreements (e.g., HUD, WHEDA).

  • Manage financial aspects of the Maintenance and Transportation departments, including purchasing, budgeting and budget review.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.

  • Ensure proper security measures for the workplace. Participate on the Safety Committee.

  • Develop and cultivate relationships with community partners, educational institutions, and various volunteer labor or funding sources to create opportunities for major build project partnerships and moderate build projects or renovations. Responsible for all aspects of project management.

  • On call as needed

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field preferred.

  • Proven experience in general maintenance procedures.

  • Knowledge & background in managing transportation operations.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Ability to effectively manage and lead a team of maintenance and fleet professionals
