Your Opportunity as the Associate Lead, Category Leadership - Albertsons, Coffee As part of our Coffee Strategic Business Area, you will execute Category Management principles in support of Albertsons. Location: Working Remote USA, Boise, ID or Orrville, OH In this role you will: Assist in the development and activation of customer specific Category Growth Drivers Identify opportunities and develop solutions for item distribution, promotion, pricing, and shelf placement Lead category reviews and present insights & recommendations to customer Understand the competitive marketplace in which Smucker and customers operate Communicate insights and learning both internally and externally to a wide variety of audiences Collaborate with Sales & Category Leadership teams to demonstrate Smucker Thought Leadership at retail Serve as consultative and objective resource for Smucker and customer teams Actively participate in retailer calls Provide Internal Business Support Build effective working relationships to achieve shared goals and objectives Acts with a sense of urgency and timeliness regarding customer requests Actively lead or support key internal projects (i.e., team training initiatives, enterprise-wide sales reporting, etc.) Act as liaison back to the Smucker HQ Category Leadership team Assist with customer business analytics Activate Customer Business Plans Proactively identifies business opportunities utilizing available data sources and deliver recommendations to team Provide input into customer long-term business strategy and planning to help meet objectives The Right Place for You We are bold, kind, strive to do the right thing, we play to win, and we believe in a strong community that thrives together. What we are looking for: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree 5+ years of Category Management/Analytical experience in Consumer Packaged Goods industry or related field (i.e. broker or retailer) Experience in customer Category Captaincy role with strong JDA and Category Insights experience Proficiency in syndicated data such as Nielsen, IRI (Circana) Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Excellent organization (detail-oriented) and communication skills Self-motivated with a proactive approach and ability to manage multiple projects Ability to build relationships and establish trust Ability to travel up to 15% Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role (not required): Symphony Retail AI data knowledge/experience Learn more about working at Smucker: Follow us on The J.
