Our approach blends the agility and creativity of a start-up, with the scale and resources of an \$8 billion company.In our flat organization the Assistant Manager, Innovation is a meaningful contributor to innovation strategy, idea development and business commercialization. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team to deliver product ideas through the innovation process from ideation to launch. Location: Orrville, Corporate Offices Work Arrangements: Hybrid, 25-50% in office expectations In this role you will: Collaborate with the Innovation Leadership team to develop innovation strategies aligned with business and brand strategy Contribute to developing and validating concepts that deliver on key consumer needs and align to the brand strategy Develop strong business cases, identifying volumes, pricing, product costs and trade / consumer support scenarios, to ensure opportunity meets financial objectives and hurdles Contribute to leading a diverse, cross-functional best in class team who will be responsible for shepherding platforms and product concepts through the innovation process, considering strategic, consumer, technical and business viability Lead with an entrepreneurial approach with strategy and discipline Represent innovation with multiple stakeholders including brand marketing, operations, finance and retail customers Contribute to influencing leadership to make optimal prioritization and commercialization decisions Work closely with stakeholders throughout the organization aligning senior leadership to the opportunity Help to shape a culture of creativity and innovative thinking The Right Role for You We are bold, kind, strive to do the right thing, we play to win, and we believe in a strong community that thrives together. What we are looking for: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree 3 years of relevant work experiencein innovation, product management or brand management Sets a high standard for performance and pursues goals with purpose and a sense of urgency Persists despite set-backs and works to gain acceptance for ideas Rallies behind the vision and exhibits optimism Comfortable with ambiguity and excitement about envisioning the future Able to use qualitative and quantitative inputs to craft compelling story to support a recommended strategic direction Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role: MBA or advanced degree Experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry with proven brand marketing or innovation success Experience having led a cross functional team Passion to take initiative and drive change Learn more about working at Smucker: Follow us on #LI-JW1 #LI-Hybrid The J.
