At White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) and Fort Bliss, TX,SA-TECHsupports Air Defense Artillery training for the U.S. Army and Coalition elements; multiple missile/weapon systems (including PATRIOT); Research, Development, Test and Evaluation programs; missile/weapons systems Lot Acceptance programs; demonstrations; production verification and special test programs.

We provide support of subscale target systems, including target assembly and disassembly, ancillary device installation, mission planning, preflight checkout, site preparation, launch, flight, control, recovery, retrieval, refurbishment, operator-level maintenance, intermediate-level maintenance, target logbook maintenance, target system in-storage maintenance, environmental protection, quality assurance, logistics services, program analytics and financial support, information assurance, engineering services, automated systems data entry and data reporting.

We are currently looking to hire anInformationAssurance/Information Systems Security Officer(IA/ISSO) to provide full-time IA and ISSO functions, on and off-site, and interface with the Installation Directorates Network Enterprise Center (NEC) for all information systems used at WSMR and Fort Bliss in direct support of the Aerial Targets Flight Services (ATFS) program. This is afull-time, exemptposition based out of our range facilities inOrogrande, NM.

Basic Responsibilities of the position include (but are not limited to):

  • Enforce IA policy, guidance, and training requirements and identified BBPs
  • Keep allSA-TECHand Government computers in compliance that are assigned toSA-TECHunder the ATFS contract.
  • Report any security violations and/or incidents to the ATFS Program Manager and to Ft. Bliss NEC.
  • Ensure implementation of IAVM dissemination, reporting, and compliance procedures
  • Ensure all users meet the requisite favorable security investigations, clearances, authorization, need-to-know, and security responsibilities before granting access to the IS.
  • Ensure users receive initial and annual IA awareness training.
  • Ensure log files and audits are maintained and reviewed for all systems and that authentication (for example, password) policies are audited for compliance.
  • Prepare, distribute, and maintain plans, instructions and SOPs concerning system security.
  • Review and evaluate the effects on security of system changes, including interfaces with othe ISs and document all changes and risks.
  • Ensure that all ISs within their area of responsibility are certified, accredited and reaccredited.
  • Maintain and document Configuration Management (CM) for IS software (including IS warning banners) and hardware.
  • Pre-deployment or operational IASOs will ensure system recovery processes are monitored and that security features and procedures are properly restored

Work Conditions:

  • Although most work will be accomplished in enclosed buildings, there will be work on the range throughout the year so temperatures and conditions will vary as the job does require outside work in inclement weather.
  • Duties will include 45% standing, 25% walking, 20% sitting, 5% reaching, and 5% lifting.
  • You must be able to lift 50-100 pounds assisted by other employees.
  • The job will require overtime and weekend work, as necessary.

Requirements

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • BA/BS or AA/AS + four (4) years experience, or High School diploma + eight (8) years experience.
  • Training or certification applicable to information systems (Linux, Windows XP and 7 Professional) is also mandatory.
  • Two (2) years of experience directly working with information systems is required.
  • IAM I (Information Assurance Manager) with current, in-hand CompTIA Security Plus 401 (or higher) with one of the following:
    • GISF
    • GSLC
  • Or, instead, an Information Security System Officer Training Certification or IAT II (Information Assurance Technician) with current, in-hand CompTIA Security Plus 401 (or higher) with one of the following is also acceptable:
    • SSCP
    • SCNP AND Information Security System Officer Training Certification
  • Experience with and training certification within six (6) months of hire: IA scans (Retina, Gold Disk, SCAP).
  • Working with CIO G6/NETCOM and IAMs.
  • Knowledge of Army, DoD, FISMA, DISA IA rules and regulations.
  • Basic Electronics and CAD drawing skills are preferred.
  • Current Drivers License required; must be able to be insured through companys vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain an interim U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearancewithin 45 days of startdate and maintain a final Secret clearance throughout employment.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
