Siemens Energy Team Lead for New Product Service Sales in Orlando, Florida

Your profile (position Overview)

Are you passionate about driving the energy transition and modernizing power generation and industrial sectors? We are seeking a motivated and expert Team Lead to join the New Products Service Sales team in North America.

Reporting to the Head of New Product Sales, this position will be responsible for leading sales efforts that address Utility and IPP customer needs in the areas of balance of plant upgrades, hydrogen cofiring, carbon collection, and digital solutions. In addition, this position will coordinate new development activities on emerging technologies that help our customers drive toward their decarbonization goals.

The New Products team brings innovative solutions to market by proactively understanding our customer needs. We develop great outcome for everyone power plant solutions that enable our customers to thrive in today's evolving energy landscape.

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Lead and manage a team of 4 business development and product sales leads, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback

  • Represent North America’s business needs for solution development efforts with the product line teams

  • Collaborate with the product management and global marketing teams to develop successful market entry strategies and work to secure projects with early adopter customers.

  • Lead initial customer engagements with the Field Sales Account Managers to gain detailed knowledge of customer investment plans and real project prospects

  • Foster positive relationships with key clients and develop strategies for driving new product sales growth

  • Guide the team through the sales strategy and LoA process for all key projects

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and use this knowledge to inform business operations and GS strategy teams

  • Grow and maintain an active pipeline of projects with high forecasting accuracy in the CRM (Salesforce.com)

  • Provide quarterly updates to executive management on market changes, sales forecasts, and get consensus on strategic project opportunities

  • Travel to customer sites, corporate offices, and industry conferences is estimated at 25%

What You Bring (requirements)

The ideal candidate has a strong mixture of the below:

  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. (Prior experience managing a team is preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with 10+ years of sales or marketing experience in power generation or industrial processes. (Those with more experience may be considered for a higher level)

  • Possess an excellent understanding of the utility market and / or the marketing and selling tailored solutions to asset managers.

  • Excellent executive communication skills with the ability to articulate complex solutions to a wide range of internal and external audiences

  • Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools such as Salesforce.com

  • Excellent bargaining experience with ability to represent Siemens Energy at multiple levels of management

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
