A Snapshot of Your Day
As part of our Sales Central Generator Modernization (GenMods) team, the Digitalization Engineer Intern will be supporting a range of exciting and ambitious projects that allow for development of skills and make a real impact in the power generation industry. This role will play a vital part in supporting the digitalization initiative of the overall North America Gas Services Sales Central organization in close collaboration with other Siemens Energy business units, such as engineering, supply management, factories, field operations and IT. GenMods organization is tailored to support OEM and Non-OEM power generation customer service needs for an operating fleet of large utility turbo-generators. A typical day will be filled with diverse tasks, including data mining, programming/application development, database management with Oracle/APEX, and strategic planning!
How You’ll Make an Impact
Support our GenMods digitalization initiative, ensuring that our team is at the forefront of technological innovation.
Synchronizing the team efforts to a company-wide audience, driving adoption of in-house developed digital tools and gathering/implementing feedback and enhancement requests.
Collaborate with our global digitalization team.
Contribute to the digital future of the organization by establishing and implementing a strategic roadmap for tool development.
Travel opportunities (up to 15%) to collaborate with customers and team members around the globe.
What You Bring
Undergraduate for a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Marketing or related field. Knowledge of creating Tableau dashboards and/or full stack development are preferred.
Familiar with Oracle and Snowflake; Mendix and Power Apps.
Familiar with application development in APEX and/or AWS preferred, including Azure with Front End, Back End and API.
Familiar in Python/SQL/HTML/CSS/Javascript preferred.
Familiar with SAP, Salesforce as data sources.
A passion for problem-solving and helping colleagues.
The ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, contributing to a positive and innovative environment.
Strong communication and technical presentations skills: Effective communication directly with peers and management.
Ability to make quick, informed decisions on a regular basis, active listener, doer.
Project management skills; able to support numerous projects and deadlines independently and as a team.
