Actalent is Hiring Pharmacy Technicians // First Shift / Office Environment!Job Description

This is a front-end Pharmacy Technician role. You will handle a high volume of calls - both inbound and outbound. You will manage prescriptions from initiation until they move to the fulfillment department. You will work across all queues and receive cross-training. Your tasks will include intake, inputting data, working the phones, refilling prescriptions, manual resolutions, clarifying prescriptions, and managing transfers from other retail stores. Expect to handle 50-60 calls per shift if assigned to phone duty. You will touch all parts of the front-end pharmacy. However, you will not be expected to take escalation calls; there is a dedicated escalation team.

You must comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and using the Open Door Policy. Complete work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners. Identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress and information; and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Hard Skills

• Preferred: Nationally Certified - PTCB or NHA

Work Environment

Professional, in office environment. Shifts are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm. The pharmacy operates Monday-Saturday, 8am-9pm, with shorter shifts on Saturdays and overnight shifts available. Training lasts 2-3 weeks, with mandatory attendance from 9am-6pm or 8am-5pm. Some accommodations may be possible after training. All contractors receive a 1-hour lunch break. No overtime or weekend shifts are required.
