GLOTECH, Inc. is seeking an experienced JIRA Administrator to support the corporate office of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment located in Orlando, FL. The JIRA Administrator will identify issues with current configuration and recommend changes to stabilize and improve the operation and use of the JIRA platform and its various modules including JIRA Service Management, JIRA Mobile, OpsGenie, JIRA Software, Status Page, Confluence, and Insight.

The JIRA Administrator is responsible configuring the current layout, design, workflows, dashboards, reports, automation rules and integration points. The JIRA Administrator makes recommendations for manages upgrades and improvements to the software.

  • Configuration of the SEA enterprise JIRA instance

  • Serves as technical lead providing in-depth troubleshooting

  • Stabilize and improve the operations and use of the JIRA platform

  • Review the current configuration, license utilization, dashboards, reports, automation rules, workflows, webhooks and make recommendations for optimalization and improvements

  • Review the current CMDB tool Insight and its discovery tool configuration. They will lead an initiative to either migrate the Insight for JIRA Cloud instance or make recommendations for an alternate platform and initiate the migration of data to that platform.

  • Improve the processes for onboarding and offboarding in coordination with automation efforts

  • Development of training plans and documentation for on-going sustainable training for JIRA Administrators and JIRA Users

  • Training of the Tier 2 Service Desk technicians on becoming proficient JIRA Administrators

  • Review of various JIRA Software projects and use of common platform workflows. Make recommendations to reduce duplications, conflicts, or high-risk configurations

  • Resolution of inconsistencies on how notifications are triggered from OpsGenie and have experienced a set of false positive escalations

  • A minimum of 5 years of dedicated hands-on experience in JIRA Administration including experience in Service Management, Software, OpsGenie, Insight, and Status Page

  • Able to work on-site in office environment

  • High level of motivation, initiative, and responsibility

  • High level of customer service skills, and ability to fluctuate technical communication level

  • Demonstrated experience providing mentorship, technical guidance, and training to Technical Support teams

  • Demonstrated experience deploying software/applications, completing system configuration, and resolving installation issues

  • Hands-on experience with JQL custom scripting

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently

  • Hybrid schedule, with availability to work onsite in Orlando, FL as needed

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related technical field

  • Atlassian Certification for JIRA Cloud
