Universal Destinations & Experiences Internship Program:

  JOB SUMMARY:

This intern role will work with the delivery teams to define, develop, test, and analyze guest-facing websites and applications in support of the business requirements and project goals. Intern will interface with front-end developers, service developers, project managers, product owners and business partners to deliver assigned tasks throughout the production life cycle. Intern will also have exposure to the testing and build/deployment processes for releasing products to production.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works as part of a scrum team to create code that directly contributes to project deliverables.

• Collaborates with scrum master, product owner, developers, and architecture team members to understand the scope management and delivery processes.

• Acts as a liaison with technical staff to assist in resolving issues found during testing and validation.

• Actively shares ideas, accomplishments, and blockers to the delivery teams and leadership.

• Attends meetings related to the project deliverables and provide status updates.

• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

  EDUCATION:

• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.

• Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.

• Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.

• An official transcript may be required upon request.

• Preferred majors include: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Preferable skills for success in role include but not limited to:

• Preferred software experience includes GIT, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SASS, ES6+ and/or TypeScript.

• Preferred knowledge of CI/CD, Unit Testing, Linting, and Code Coverage.

• Preferred knowledge of Agile Scrum or Scaled Agile Framework.

• Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Superior written & verbal communication skills.

• Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.

• Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.

• Consistent attendance.

• This internship will be a hybrid experience, based in our Orlando offices.

• Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than August 2025.

• Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
