AlphaStaff Contract Manager in Orlando, Florida

General Description

This is a responsible professional position on the staff of the Area Agency on Aging maintaining all contracts, grants, and vendor agreements for the agency.


  • Prepare all contracts and vendor agreements with service providers

  • Determine funding for service provider agencies based on funding formula allocations.

  • Execute contract amendments as necessary

  • Oversee procurement of services, including preparing Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), conducting bidders’ conference, organizing bid responses, and preparing staff recommendations for award.

  • Participate in negotiations with vendors

  • Prepare contract invoices

  • Assist with annual Fiscal/Administrative monitoring of subrecipients, and preparation of work papers and supporting schedules.

  • Prepare monthly Surplus/Deficit report

  • Provide technical support for Energy Assistance database

  • Performs related tasks as required.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or Associate’s degree with two (2) years’ experience.

  • Prior experience in contract management and grant administration

  • Successful completion of Level II background screening.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

    Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Accounting Software(MIP Fund Accounting preferred), e-mail programs
