NBC Universal Analyst, Product-UPRV Systems in Orlando, Florida
JOB SUMMARY: Product Analysts manage the vacation package operations for both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. This role is responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing all vacation packages, plus the ticket, hotel and ancillary products available in a vacation package. This role is responsible for managing the intake of system and product issues and seeing any defects to resolution. The Product Analysts partner with the call center and other departments to understand their needs and identify new opportunities to improve the system or the package build process.
Manage the troubleshooting of issues reported for vacation package stores and products, evaluating the appropriate workflow, resolving any package build issues and communicating the status of the issue and resolution schedule to business partners.
Manage product development cycle to ensure successful product release.
Provide technical support for reservation agents, operations, Guest Services, Finance and Accounts Payable.
Reviews contracts handed off by marketing for provisions, terms and conditions and implements into database.
Identifies opportunities for business process re-design, change management and system enhancements. Writes specification, design documentation, and executes system testing.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Administration or Information Systems.
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years required in product development; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong project management, trafficking, and organizational skills, with high attention to detail; proven ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Practical knowledge of building products in a commerce engine.
Excellent client service and problem-solving skills, able to identify and anticipate both opportunities and problems and drive them to resolution.
Extensive computer knowledge and proficiency in business software applications.
