The General Counsel’s Office has many areas of business and administrative law.

The Work You Will Do:

Under the direction of the Administrative Assistant III and the Chief Attorney, this position provides administrative support and assists attorneys for the Office of The General Counsel.

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains and updates case management and document management systems with case status information.

  • Research prior discipline.

  • Assists in trial preparation including copying exhibits, preparing subpoenas, scheduling court reporters, scheduling witnesses for depositions.

  • Assists in preparing case files for board meeting, formal/informal hearing, circuit court presentation.

  • Prepares correspondence, memoranda, notices, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to the activities of the assigned attorney(s),

  • Prepares travel authorizations and reimbursements for travel.

  • Receives and routes telephone calls.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of law and legal procedures;

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;

  • Knowledge of Versa Regulation;

  • Knowledge of OnBase;

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships;

  • Ability to maintain legal files in an organized, comprehensive manner;

  • Ability to multi-task;

  • Ability to recognize and act on emerging issues and shifting priorities and

  • Ability to prioritize work assignments.

    Minimum Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent and

  • At least two years of administrative, clerical or legal secretarial experience
