Position Announcement
Technology Management & Mechatronics is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant. Under the general direction of the department chair, assists full-time staff in performing a variety of departmental administrative tasks, including the following summary of responsibilities:
• Greeting and informing students, faculty, and guests of available department and university services. Providing correct and accurate information to inquiries and requests for assistance.
• Performing confidential administrative support duties, including composing routine correspondence, reports, and presentations and obtaining factual information requiring knowledge of policies/procedures of assigned and work-related areas.
• Assisting in coordinating department events, marketing opportunities, website maintenance, and social media.
• Assisting faculty with various administrative duties as assigned.
• Assisting with departmental lab upkeep and inventory control. Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience related to the summary of responsibilities totaling three years.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate's degree and one year of experience related to the summary of responsibilities totaling three years.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities
Knowledge
• Knowledge of exceptional customer care standards.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications (i.e., Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud)
• Knowledge of various social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to update department accounts.
Skills
• Skills in exceptional customer care.
• Skills in maintaining confidentiality at all times.
• Skills in office methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.
• Skills in organization, database management, and coordination.
• Skills in the use of computers and computer software applications (i.e., Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud).

• Ability to follow verbal and written procedures and instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to gather data, compile information, and compose and edit written materials.
• Ability to work on campus up to five days per week and attend events as needed throughout the year.
• Ability to perform a variety of administrative duties with minimum supervision.
