WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

Supervises and coordinates activities of Electricians engaged in construction, maintenance and repair of electric power and lighting systems of plant and product buildings through:

• Plans wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, and panel boards.

• Inspects wiring and fixtures for conformance to company specifications or local electrical codes.

• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.

• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.

• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.

• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

• Maintains time and production records

• Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials

• Confers with other staff to coordinate activities of individual departments

• Sets up machines and equipment

• Performs activities of workers supervised.

• Performs quality control testing of product buildings for compliance to intended operations performance, corrects installation defects and provides process follow-up documentation.

• Endeavors to create a workplace environment that is enjoyable, engenders pride in the product and focus on the customer, and provides room for individual responsibilities and ideas.

YOU HAVE:

• 6+ years experience or training in the installation and mainetenace of electrical wiring and equipment

• 5+ years of supervisory experience of electricians.

• Journeyman or Master Electrician license required with strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.

• High school diploma preferred.

• Ability to identify and resolve problems through gathering and analyzing of information.

• Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities, properly planning, developing and delegating team members.

• Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands including working within a manufacturing environment, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Frequently stand, stoop, kneel and crouch.
