WorkSource Oregon Application Developer in OREGON CITY, Oregon
Position overview: Designs, builds, maintains, modifies, and enhances custom enterprise applications, tailored to meet the needs of the organization. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, to build new software and support, integrate applications with existing systems, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Creates and maintains standards for documentation in collaboration with management. Conducts peer reviews of other developers to ensure it meets established standards. Delivers software solutions that enhance our employee and member experiences, streamline operations, and support our strategic objectives. Primary responsibilities: Designs, codes, tests and deploys applications tailored to meet the needs of the Credit Union, utilizing modern programming frameworks and languages to create efficient, reliable, and user-friendly solutions. Maintains and enhances existing applications by troubleshooting issues, implementing updates, and improving functionality to ensure optimal performance and security. Tests and peer reviews other developers\' code to ensure adherence to standards. Works closely with Business Analysts and business units to understand requirements and translate those into technical specifications. Participates in planning meetings, providing technical insight, and ensuring alignment with business goals. Facilitates communication between technical and non-technical team members to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery of solutions. Integrates applications with existing systems and third-party services to ensure seamless operation across the credit union. Develops and maintains APIs and other integration points. Provides ongoing support and maintenance for integrated systems, addressing issues as they arise and ensuring continuous system operation. Creates and maintains detailed technical documentation for all developed applications, including code documentation, user guides, and API documentation. Assists management in the preparation of progress reports and technical summaries for management and stakeholders. Collaborates with team on the development and execution of comprehensive testing plans to ensure software quality and reliability. Performs integration testing and end-to-end testing to identify and resolve defects prior to deployment. Collaborates with team on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensures applications meet the specified requirements and quality standards. Stays current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development.
