Saint-Gobain Quality Supervisor - Manufacturing (On-Site) Orange, CT in ORANGE, Connecticut

The Quality Supervisor located on-site in Orange, Connecticut, directs and supervises the quality control teams daily activities and supports all site activities related to inspection. Working in conjunction with manufacturing and planning functions coordinates the flow of material and parts through all steps in the inspection process. A summary of the role responsibilities includes:

Responsibilities include:

• Supervise the day to day activates in the inspection department

• Working with manufacturing and planning to assure the timely inspection of material and parts to meet department and site goals

• Review and prepare Quality Documentation for shipments to include Qualifications, PPAP’s, FAI’s and COC’s and other documentation as needed or required.

• Support Quality Assurance in Customer and Supplier corrective actions activities as needed.

• Responsible for Scrap reporting process.

• Support the preparation for and execution of quality audits, perform internal process and product audits as needed.

• Utilize various department equipment in assessing quality level of products and processes.

• Clean and maintain work areas, gauges, equipment, and instrumentation as scheduled or required.

• Exhibit and reinforce safety awareness and safe work practices.

• Participate in self-development and training of others.

• Direct, monitor, and evaluate activities of supervised Quality Technician(s) / Inspector(s).

• Perform other related duties as required or as directed by Manager.• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 5+ years of experience in a Quality function OR 10+ years experience in a Quality function in lieu of a formal degree is required.

• Statistical Process Control - ability to interpret data and train/coach others in use

• Experience in developing and compiling PPAP/FAI submission information

• Computer (PC), data collection, and analysis skills necessary to fulfill job responsibilities

• IATF, ISO-9001/AS-9100, QMS knowledge and experience is preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• ASQ-CQE and/or CQA is preferred

• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role.

• Experience in automotive and/or aerospace related manufacturing environment is preferred.

Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $79,500 to 123,400 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $87,400 to $135,700. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
