Summary

Celestica’s SupplyFlex strategy aims to improve supply chain flexibility by reducing supplier lead times and enabling Supplier Managed Inventory (SMI/VMI) programs. The position is accountable for delivery of the Global SupplyFlex. Success is achieved via leadership in the areas of target setting, collaboration across teams, functions and with suppliers tools and training.

Detailed Description

  • Responsible for Celestica's global Flexibility performance measured as the percent of spend on a SupplyFlex program.

  • Conceive, deploy and manage new strategies to achieve desired results.

  • Advises senior management of process issues, opportunities and recommends action plans.

  • Establishes annual targets and achieves global network consensus on functional targets to support plan.

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to determine part strategies and map out actions to achieve flexibility (on board to existing agreement or pursue new agreements with suppliers).

  • Identifies opportunities to grow the program by site, commodity and customer to ensure cadence to year end target.

  • Reports progress to senior leadership and updates all scorecards to keep stakeholders aligned.

  • Coordinates efforts of experts, department staff and site staff to remove roadblocks on a priority basis.

  • Engages with Celestica’s legal team relative to Supplier Agreements for the purpose of managing priorities, understanding obstacles to closure and to ensure correct interpretation of agreed terms.

  • Schedules and chairs quarterly SupplyFlex Steering Council and regular site and /or commodity specific meetings; notes actions and monitors closure.

  • Provides technical guidance and mentors global Flexibility network.

  • Assesses educational needs and skills at a site level to identify key areas that require education programs.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Good understanding of global business environment and Customers’ business.

  • Broad knowledge of global supply chain, manufacturing business, material planning and financial measurements.

  • Working knowledge of flexibility processes, applications and system integration.

  • Strong knowledge of IT concepts, software and integrated business applications including Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI and Rapid Response

  • Strong knowledge of Adult Education techniques

  • Excellent facilitation, communications and presentation skills.

  • Strong cross-functional project and team leadership skills.

  • Ability to identify and resolve complex process/system problems using financial, analytical and statistical models.

  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.

  • Strong relationship building, negotiating, problem resolution, consensus building, listening and collaboration skills.

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.

  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.

  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
