PeopleReady of Opelika, AL is now hiring Fitters in Roanoke, AL! This is a temp-to-perm position with pay raises and benefits. If you aren't certified, that's ok! We will teach you everything you need to know. If you required a certification, we will help you get certified.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17 / Hour

What you'll be doing as a Fitter:

  • Lay out rises, slopes and bevels using framing squares.

  • Lay out and build fixtures.

  • Pass tack weld test in 3F and 4F positions with F4 electrode group.

  • Interpret structural steel blueprints/shop drawings.

  • Be able to camber. Operate 90-degree angle grinder.

  • Heat straightening using a torch.

  • Operate cutting torch.

  • Utilize impact wrench to tighten bolts.

  • Operate overhead pendent controlled bridge crane safely and efficiently.

  • Fabricate truss and rolled beam.

  • Operate radiograph/track torch.

  • Be a qualified welder.

  • Perform other duties as required by management.

Available shifts:

Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

  • Must have and be able to read tape measurer

  • Must be able to lift 50 LBS 

  • Also have availability to work 48-hour week

  • 5AM-3:30PM Monday - Friday 

  • Background check and drug screening required.
