Summary:

Installs electrical wiring and assembles components in toolboxes by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
  • Lays out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
  • Drills and taps holes in specified locations for control systems.
  • Tests electrical assemblies.
  • Experience with 12 Volt DC automotive/ heavy duty truck wiring systems
  • Knowledge of proper use of wiring tools (cutters, stripper, crimpers, deutch crimpers)
  • Knowledge of proper use of batter operated and pneumatic tools
  • Ability to be versatile and willing to learn all job duties in the department
  • Must complete assigned jobs and maintain production and quality standards
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of measure

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months wiring experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The employee must rarely climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell.
