Summary:

As the Human Resource Manager, you will be a pivotal member of our team, reporting to the Director of Human Resources. Your role involves partnering with local HR teams, manufacturing leadership, and other organizational leaders to champion human resource practices. Responsible for managing the regional HR team, you will drive HR initiatives, ensuring alignment with company-wide practices and objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Extensive experience in employee relations, benefits, and talent acquisition.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely feedback to the HR team.
  • Oversees and provides guidance on discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides support and guidance to HR business partners, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, andsensitive questions and issues arise.
  • Continually looks for commonalities and best practices to create the delivery of a shared services model aligning corporate goals across at all locations.
  • Share best practices among locations and HR knowledge, contributing to an inclusive and collaborative culture - One Miller.
  • Serve as a go-to resource for escalations and problem resolution while promoting ongoing training and development activities.
  • Supports and directs the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring ofqualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Determines learning and development programs and initiatives across locations that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Ensures the compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Confirm job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations.
  • Create and deliver the findings of the employee survey along with the action plans aimed at enhancing and improving opportunities.
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution.
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently.
  • Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives.
  • Provide support and guidance to HR staff.

Qualifications:

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of five years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including benefits and compensation practices, talent acquisitions, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
  • Excellent verbal/written/presentation/facilitation communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build solid, trusting, and credible relationships.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including benefits and compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
