Pay Range: $48,000.00 -75,000.00

Summary:

Miller Industries is looking for an HR Business Partner to provide HR consultation and support to plant floor hourly (PFH) at all Ooltewah, TN, location(s) including Plant 1 and Plant 2. The successful candidate will use their knowledge of the business to guide managers in HR workforce planning and analysis to resolve issues and make a positive impact on business results. The ideal candidate should offer tactical HR support to managers, applying their expertise in various HR areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advises, counsels, and influences the management and supervisory team and ensures the effectiveness of their leadership direction.
  • Coaches key business leaders on leading and managing their organizations effectively with a high level of employee engagement.
  • Manages the HR core processes that support and drive the initiatives of talent management, total rewards, performance management, succession planning, and retention.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Advises on all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan.
  • Advises and aids in creating an environment that attracts, retains, and motivates top talent.
  • Participates and provides input into various HR initiatives, programs, and policies to ensure successful alignment with business strategy.
  • Communicates new HR initiatives, programs, policies, and practices.
  • Ensures that HR Services are aligned with internal client needs.
  • Facilitates short and long-term talent requirements.
  • Notifies and advises management on employee and organizational issues.
  • Identify HR issues within the organization, coordinates with management/ supervision, and recommend solutions for delivering quality programs to the organization.
  • Collaborates with HR Manager and Director to align HR strategy with business unit strategy.
  • Participates as a business partner in organizational programs to ensure that HR program objectives align with business operating objectives.
  • Provides input to business leaders regarding training needs and execute training activities/initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources; 3 years of human resources generalist experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with employee relations issues.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including benefits and compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Demonstrated influence management, judgment, and decision-making competencies.
  • Prefer HR Certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP).
