Description
At WECO, the sales team is the engine that drives the global consumer reach of our contract manufacturing solutions. We’re seeking a qualified Vice President of Sales who can help keep this engine running with their own sales skills as well as leadership of a team of driven sales representatives. The ideal sales manager has deep experience with the entire sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and deal closing. We’re looking for an experienced leader who has strong negotiating skills — someone with a successful track record who can inspire the same performance in others. The role demands a leader who has a sharp mind and an ability to coach, advise, motivate, or replace sales representatives while building and maintaining a high-performance team.
The Vice President of Sales will oversee and lead the activities of the Sales Department as well as being involved in Direct Sales.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops sales strategies and goals to achieve profitable sales growth.
Participates in direct sales activities, establishing, developing, maintaining and nurturing relationships with key clients and generating leads.
Fully utilizes the company’s CRM
Tracks and analyzes sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.
Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.
Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
Sets discount rates and determines price schedules within company policies.
Serves as the face of the organization to internal and external partners.
Makes data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation.
Prepares sales budget and required forecasts; monitors and approves expenses.
Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.
Provides leadership to the sales team.
Hires, trains, motivates and advises regional and local sales managers, Customer Relationship Managers and staff to ensure quotas are met and a timely flow of communication with the customer is on-going.
Oversees and directs performance of the sales team, conducting performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Identifies emerging markets to find new sales opportunities.
Defines and executes territory sales plans, organizing and overseeing the schedules, territories, and performance of regional and local sales managers.
Sets sales quotas and goals.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field,
OR Comparable record of sales leadership experience required.
At least 10 years of experience working in a precision machining environment and at least 5 years of experience in sales required.
Experience selling precision machined products and/or sheet metal fabrication products, including experience with CNC Lathe, Mill, Vertical, Horizontal, and Wire EDM machines to produce machined component parts that weigh between 1 and 10 pounds preferred; and lasers, turrets, press brakes, welding and finishing operations to produce sheet metal fabrications.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Ability to travel.
Strong understanding of government agencies and aerospace and defense work as well as industrial sales.
Knowledge of various materials such as Steel, Aluminum, Titanium, Stainless Steel, Inconel, Hastelloy, copper, and brass.
Have a strong understanding of the market and be able to identify sales opportunities in the region.
Familiarity with NIST scores.
Salary Description
$150,000 - $190,000
